Plumbing

Brass sink and fixtures, tile and glass backsplash and aspen countertop with epoxy finish.

Whale gusher foot pump installed.  Attaches to rain barrel hose or storage tank under sink.  Water is then filtered for drinking with a Berkey.

The door

The door was custom made by Salem Woodworking, wonderful people, great artists.

Floor

Basic tongue in groove yellow oak flooring.  Finished with antique wood oil, hand buff.  4 coats.

Siding

Yes, it pained me to paint the siding.  However, I will be living in a sub-tropical rain forest, where mold and mildew frolic in abundance.  Just not in my house, if I can help it.  So painted with a high quality primer, paint and sealer.  Caulked around base and any raw wood.  Painted again.

The plywood panels are cut to size so the seams can be offset.  Then glued, screwed and nailed to the beams.
